Living Testimony
This advocacy booklet, produced by UNFPA and Family Care International (FCI), highlights social, cultural, and economic dimensions of obstetric fistula by presenting key findings of country-level needs assessments conducted in 29 countries in Africca, Asia, and the Arab States from 2003 to 2006. The publication also provides guidance for policymakers, programmers, and researchers to strengthen fistula prevention and treatment programmes based on the findings. FCI and UNFPA will also produce an advocacy and programme toolkit to provide guidance on how to strategically use the publication's findings in awareness campaigns, with policy and decision makers, media and service providers.
